DO NOT ASK US TO TELL YOU IF ANYTHING IS OR IS NOT LEGAL. We are not lawyers and cannot advise you. However, if you have other questions please ask.

We expect you to be responsible

  • Your equipment (firearm, magazines, ammo, etc) is in good operating condition.
  • Ensure your rifle is in a proper configuration for the law as it applies to you.
  • Transport your rifle in accordance with all applicable laws.
  • Ensure that all attached equipment is in a proper configuration for the law as it applies to you.
  • Be prepared to answer any questions about your equipment if someone from the range or LE questions you about configuration or equipment.

Your carbine must

  • Be legal for YOU to own in California.
  • Have a functional safety.
  • Semi-auto, lever or pump action.
  • Have the ability to change a magazine or reload quickly (with or without a tool).
  • A tactical sling. 1, 2 or 3 point sling.

  • Extra magazines (CA Legal for your configuration as you understand it).

Other stuff

  • Some of the drills may involve reloading and full capacity magazines may not help you.
  • There is a lack of rifle racks at that facility, so plan on carrying your baby all day with few exceptions
  • Round count is open at this point; however, based on previous days I would plan for 100-150 rds as a starting point. Then add in your extras.
  • If you need to sight your rifle test fire, etc, please come a little early. We have had some additional time between Group 1 and Group 2.
